How do we treat one another? How do we treat those who are like us and those who are different – economically, politically, socially, and religiously In Pygmalion, I discovered a character who treats others well and another character who does not. Eliza discusses this very issue towards the end of the play, “. . . the difference between a lady and flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she is treated. I shall always be a flower girl to Professor Higgins, because he always treats me as a flower girl, and always will; but I know I can be a lady to you, because you always treat me as a lady, and always will.” How would this world look if we treated all people as friends and not our enemies?
